The European Innovation Council (EIC) is inviting research teams and deep-tech startups to apply for EIC Pathfinder 2025, a funding instrument supporting science and breakthrough innovation.
This is a grant funding opportunity of €300K to €500K to support early stage development of future technologies.
The grant will cover 70 % of the eligible cost of the project. The remaining 30% should be co-funded by the beneficiary through its own resources.
Applicants must demonstrate:
– High-impact innovation that could create new markets or disrupt existing ones (at least TRL 4);
– Ownership of the Intellectual Property Rights to ensure freedom to operate and adequate protection of the idea;
– A clear vision on the intended pathway to market (milestones together with concrete and verifiable KPIs to assess progress towards the market);
– The ambition and commitments to scale up.
