The US Government has approved the export of NVIDIA AI chips to Armenia for the Firebird AI initiative.
This allows the launch of the first large-scale AI data center in our region – a 100 MW facility with an initial $500M investment, as part of a multi-billion-dollar initiative to establish high-capacity AI supercomputing infrastructure in the region.
As officially announced by Dell in a press-release, this project will be supported by Dell Technologies, providing Dell PowerEdge AI servers and NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. The data center will support AI development across sectors, including life sciences, robotics, and space.
Phase one of the deployment is scheduled to go online in the first half of 2026.
